Anti-Social Behaviour Support Officer                                                                                 REF: H7117F
£13,577 to £14,209 based on 22 hours per week (Inclusive of London Fringe Weighting)
6 months fixed term/secondment


The main purpose of this job will be to help improve the level and quality of contact with victims of Anti-Social Behaviour from all sections of the community, assessing victim’s service needs and commissioning a range of services to support identified requirements. To promote a victim centred approach when dealing with cases of ASB.

To be successful in this role, you will have experience of delivering a service in a statutory, voluntary, community or private social care setting, working with a range of people who have different lifestyles. You will have knowledge and understanding of relevant local agencies and resources as well as a proven ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in written form, including telephone skills. You will also have experience of dealing sensitively with challenging and emotionally charged situations, demonstrating empathy and controlling your own emotions. You will demonstrate a strong customer service focus as well as an ability to build and sustain relationships with colleagues in other agencies.

This is a part time position covering three full days and will involve meeting victims, sometimes in their homes, and accompanying them to court on occasion so a degree of flexibility will be a requirement of the job.

The position is on a 6 months temporary basis, with the possibility of an extension.

A check will be undertaken with the Disclosure and Barring Service to ensure that the successful candidate for the above post has no relevant convictions.
