£ 46,995 - £62,708 (Inclusive of London Fringe Weighting) + Car Allowance

37 hours per week – permanent

 

It is a very exciting time to be joining Dacorum Borough Council’s award winning Housing Service, which is located in the “The Forum” – Hemel Hempstead's new council, library and voluntary services hub.  It’s not only an inspiring place for welcoming the public and enabling residents to access services more easily under one roof, it’s an open plan, energy-efficient and exciting place to work.

 

An opportunity has arisen for an ambitious, forward thinking, experienced individual to join an important area of the service with overall responsibility for the management, development, delivery and success of the Property and Place division. With annual budget responsibility for circa £30M the post-holder will ensure that the Asset Management Strategy is delivered effectively and be responsible for all areas of Health and Safety Compliance, and the various maintenance and improvement contracts.

 

The post-holder will be able to influence the direction of the service, working with the senior management team to support the housing vision:

 

‘We want Dacorum to be a place people are proud to call home. We will involve our tenants & leaseholders in decisions, provide good quality, affordable homes, help maintain tenancies and prevent homelessness – and be honest about improvements we still need to achieve.’

 

The role will suit an adaptable, flexible, individual who is educated to degree level and achieved membership in a related professional body e.g. RICS.
