We are currently seeking a .Net Developer with direct experience of developing in Microsoft .NET Technologies such as ASP MVC.

As Web Improvement Officer you will play a key role in delivering building applications to support the organisation, both for residents and for staff. As a member of the team you’ll play a key role in supporting the Council as we deliver our new Digital Transformation Strategy.

Job Description Highlights
• To support our web development team in current and new projects
• To develop our ability to analyse and report on data in our systems
• To support the development, implementation and improvement of online forms using ASP.NET, Microsoft Internet Information Server, XML Web Services, and Microsoft SQL Server.
• To support the Web Improvement Team Leader in delivering our commitment to digital transformation
• To assist the Council to transform service delivery by use of .NET technologies and exploit new opportunities to deliver improved services to customers.
• To assist in the development of electronic services strategies to drive performance improvements and to demonstrate progress against national measures.
• To collect and analyse website/intranet usage statistics and use them to enable and implement a continuous improvement programme.
• To provide guidance and training to members of staff on use of systems

You should be confident, forward thinking and committed to improving the way things work. An ability to solve problems is a must. You also need to be able to work as part of a team as well as taking on individual responsibilities.

The successful candidate will also meet the following requirements:

Key Requirements
• Formal training/knowledge in: ASP.Net C#, MS SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, MS IIS
• Knowledge and experience of developing web applications and writing scripts
• Knowledge and understanding of Web Accessibility (WCAG) in developing front-end applications.
• Knowledge of relational database management systems such as Microsoft SQL or MySQL
• Ability to plan, organise and prioritise own workload in a multi-tasking environment.
• Use of logical, rational and intuitive approaches to develop options and strategies to resolve issues
• Good interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills
