This is an opportunity to join our Strategic Housing Service, to lead a team working on projects and service improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will also work closely with the Strategy, Improvement & Engagement Team Leader, developing policies and strategies, and coordinating responses to legislation changes.

The role also includes the undertaking/commissioning of research on a range of housing related topics, and consulting with customers and stakeholders in the formation of strategy, policy and service improvements, plus overseeing collection and reporting of performance indicators.

The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, to give presentations, and support development of key strategies and initiatives, across all areas of our Housing Service, working with all team leaders and lead officers to embed recommendations.

An understanding and awareness of housing issues, and government policy relating to housing is essential, plus sound knowledge of service improvement, quality management systems and overseeing internal audits, with the ability to demonstrate excellent research and problem solving skills.

Experience in service improvement led activity such as tenant led scrutiny and audits would be useful.
