Housing Advice (Triage) Officer 

20 Month Fixed Term Contract/Secondment

£26,443 - £29,702 pa (incl. London Fringe Weighting)


This post has arisen in our Strategic Housing Service, to provide high quality front line specialist advice, supporting people seeking housing assistance, undertaking initial assessments and triage approaches, in line with the Homeless Reduction Act 2017, and related legislation.  You will work within Council policies and procedures, delivering our Silver Standard Housing Options service and supporting our drive to achieve Gold Standard.  

You will work closely with the Customer Service Unit to provide prompt and accurate triage assessments, for clients with housing related issues. You will have excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to build strong and meaningful relationships with organisations, both statutory and voluntary.    

Applicants must have a driving licence which is valid in the UK, and access to a car in order to undertake visits to clients and agencies in this role.  

A check will be undertaken with the Disclosure and Barring Service to ensure that the successful candidate for the above post has no relevant convictions.
