Housing Officer – Tenancy and Leasehold                                                                                 Ref: H444
£27,171 to £30,430 per annum (Inclusive of London Fringe Weighting)
Permanent – 37 hours


As part of a busy, but friendly and supportive team, your main duties will be to deal with all aspects of tenancy and estate management, ensuring all performance targets and quality standards are met. This will involve liaising with tenants in writing or over the telephone and frequent home visits; ensuring tenancy conditions are understood, that issues are resolved and high standards of estate management are maintained.

We are looking for somebody with experience of Housing Management, who is innovative, organised, enthusiastic and a clear and effective communicator in writing and verbally, in order to satisfactorily resolve issues when they arise. You will need a driving licence which is valid in the UK, and use of a vehicle. Excellent negotiation and investigative skills are essential, plus the ability to deal with people sympathetically but assertively when necessary, and form effective working relationships with other agencies. You will be able to work well under pressure in order to solve complex problems.

A good, basic knowledge of Housing Law and previous experience of dealing with people in stressful situations, preferably in a public sector-housing environment, would be highly advantageous.
